The two worst things in LSU sports are gone. All the ships can now begin to sail in the same direction.
Y’all are soft, chill out.

In any high stakes game or high value product with marketability the shake up in administration happens but it doesn’t stop you from taking the job. The product is good. The resources are good. It’s a new opportunity to evolve.
From a sales point of view. We have a proven product and high level of investment on futures. So a VP and Manager got tossed…so what. That doesn’t change the market value or potential. Any coach worth a shite will see that and jump. We are on the precipice of greatness, if you’re scared jump in a row boat.

Did JJ get fired?
You must have missed the misappropriation of profit sharing to basketball instead of baseball. SW and Tate were trying to run JJ out of town monetarily. Was ridiculous. What JJ is doing with our baseball team and the amount of money he is getting for it is a some rainman shite.

What on earth does baseball have to do with this?

So in this analogy the manager gets fired and then the Governor holds a press conference where he says the VP won't be making the new hire and dictating how the new hire's contract will be structured?
I'm sure that would go over great with investors and interested applicants alike.

It does when they get fired. Point to a problem and do something about it, don’t talk. Ppl forget the value of action in place of empathy.
In this case the “governor” is the president of the company. So yeah, it’s a good move when your “President” sees what’s happening and disapproves so they make changes. Would you rather they do nothing? Or let it stew for a few years on the continued downward spiral?
Again, the product sells its self. You have all the resources and it’s a wide open market. Install the right managers and let it roll. It’s not rocket science.

Wtf are you talking about?
This is more complicated than complicated. There’s no way to predict how this all plays out.
If you’re telling yourself this is all good and planned and easily gonna turn out okay you’re lying to yourself. There’s a lot of moving pieces here… the future is about as unknown as could be.

I think you have your roles in this situation mixed up.
The Governor is the Governor, LSU's president is the president and the Board of Supervisors would be the Board of Directors.
I get LSU is a state school but appointing board members should be where Landry's direct influence stops at least publicly. I want the government involved as little as absolutely necessary in LSU athletics the same way I do with them in the private sector.
He could have axed Woody and gotten LSU to pursue an incentive based contract for the next hire behind the scenes.
Choosing to air all of this out publicly has provided zero benefit. Maybe none of this has any effect and the product really does sell itself but there's also a non-zero possibility this has negative consequences in hiring our next coach. Zero upside and tons of downside.

Oh my god we get it you’re a “sales floor technician” at Applebee’s and think this makes you qualified to flex on us retards that don’t understand the business world like you do
There is no universe where the governor flapping his gums like an idiot about this process helps LSU. None. Just make the moves behind closed doors. You can maintain agile alignment pivot 84 spider z banana circle back into your synergy zone or whatever without making LSU athletics look like a dysfunctional tardfest

I've personally enjoyed the hell out of watching the Catlick High alum melts at the Woodward firing. Hopefully, they remove the CHS alumni as stadium announcer, too. The bitching will last into the Christmas season, what a gift.

As a Registered Independent (#humblebrag)- i knew it was only a matter of time before the Maga political insanity infected LSU sports.. The future of the football team is now very bleak .. this is why we cannot have nice things.. but hey, at least y’all voted for this .

This is the only reasonable gripe with the situation. But at the same time, why not. This is kind of who we are as a state. frick it.

Woodward was very far from one of the worst things in LSU sports.
He made some great hires that won NCs
on paper, by any objective standard, BK was a good hire. It didn't work out. Sometimes it doesn't.
