Why did Frank Wilson openly talk about who will start at QB and running the ball more?

Wouldn’t it be wise to hide the game plan and not let Alabama know so they can prepare properly?

Personally, I would’ve said that they are discussing the option of playing Van Buren and not mention anything about increasing the running game.

Wouldn’t this be a more strategic approach?

Because peeople just want to hear information. No one cares about the game outcome.

Every football team wants to run the ball.
If you can't run the football, you're going to struggle to win more often than not.
It's not a secret.

Do you really think that matters?

You're assuming Alabama might just, on a hunch, incorrectly prepare for the backup QB that hasn't started a game instead? Damn. Almost had em.

Nuss has started the entire season. They dont have any meaningful film on MVB. So that doesn't really matter.

We have a new play-caller. They have no clue what Atkins wants to do or will do... so announcing a focus on running the ball more doesn't change what Bama is going to do on their side of the ball.

Maybe he’s being coy and Van Buren starts?

I'm sure Bama and the rest of the schedule already knows this.

You think what is said at a press conference is going to affect how Alabama preps for the upcoming game? Bless your heart.
