LSU job I guess the Rant will blame it on Landry.

Rightfully so. Dude went out and publicly criticized the agents that you to work with to hire a top tier coach.

If? Dude it’s absolutely not happening and especially after Landry’s public display yesterday.

After that, LSU will not be landing a big name like Kiffin or Lanning. It’ll be Wilson or someone that’s willing to take a “prove it” contract

As they should. I’m a conservative and at this point I’d vote for the Muslim guy from NYC over Landry, everything was going right- national media was praising us as the best job opening, the Kelly firing went smoothly, there was a solid list of candidates, and this little coonass decides he’s going to inject himself into it and make the entire situation dysfunctional. What’s the point of this thread? To preemptively defend him because you know he screwed us?

Sexton is all business. This type of name-calling just shows Sexton that Landry is out of his league (pun intended). Being called names and being accused of ruining a sport are standard operating procedure for agents. I don't think it will have any effect on who will be going where.

Kiffin going to Florida. Nothing LSU can do to change that.

If you guys could keep politics out of LSU sports we might get different outcomes in coaching searches. Coaches, Agents, and WAGS all read, and there's not a lot of positive reinforcement amongst this board

I think Landry wants Napier, because of the ULL connection.

Will you rejoice when we just retain Frank because no good coach wants to get involved in corrupt Louisiana BS?

You will get the dark ages and you will like it!

Kiffin, or any other coach in the playoffs, is not coming to LSU. The timeline the NCAA has set is fricked.

You would have to sacrifice the 2026 season for this to happen. Any coach in the playoffs would miss the Highschool signing day ond Dec 2, and if they win the 1st game, they wouldn't even be announced until after the transfer portal opens on Jan 2,

If you don't name a coach until the transfer portal is open, you probably lose a substantial portion of your remaining roster as well as any chance to sign top transfers. You may also loose alot of your current staff because of the uncertainty.

Kids aren't staying at/coming to a school with no head coach and that much uncertainty with coordinators and position coaches.

Didn't the greatest coach of all time Saban tell him to stay put before the Landry press conference? That probably has more influence than the Landry comments.

News flash: you have no way of knowing this and I’m assuming you’re some hack on his team considering your entire post history is obsessively defending him. Gfy

I think this was a given before the Landry fiasco.
