Landry’s desire to guide the coaching hire at LSU will scare some candidates off. Landry will screw up the contract, the PR.

He also has the ability to reach into some very wealthy people’s pockets that don’t even know who Woody is. Jeff Landry really believes he can be President one day :eyeroll: so we might all be surprised.

Landry has done alot of stupid things, but this is one of dumbest things he can do.
This is the exact same thing as moronic NFL owners getting involved in the X’s and O’s and telling their coaches what to do.
What the frick does Landry know about football? And when I’m asking that, I understand that Landry won’t hand pick the next coach himself and that he is planning on assembling a board to pick the next coach. And still, what the frick does he know about football to even be qualified to pick a board of advisors for this?
And now we have a lame duck AD as well who has been one of the better AD’s in our history, especially recent history.

Landry is not an LSU fan (he is a USL/ULL fan). He only cares about LSU because it helps him politically.

If I am not mistaken, if he chooses to exercise it, the governor of Louisiana no matter who he is has an enormous amount of control/power over the operations of LSU, all the operations, and it does date back to the days of the Kingfish. So who’s going to stop him from getting involved if he so chooses?

I voted for the guy. Now have serious remorse. Wish he would just shut up. He is an idiot and an embarrassment. The things he actually could do to help the state (running off porgie boats and allowing the miss river diversion project) he didn’t. Clearly caved to big lobby. Just another good ole boy.
