The Internet Invitational Golf Tournament - Part 1

Watched this last night. Very entertaining and interesting seeing all the youtube golfers in one tournament mixing it up. I'm a fan of most of these golfers on youtube and have watched a lot of them. This was fun. There was some amazing golf played by a few people.

I watched it and enjoyed it, basically if you like YouTube golf watch this it’s got everyone. If you don’t like YouTube golf don’t watch it.
The Luke Kwon thing was interesting, not necessarily him sleeping in and missing his tee time. I’m sure they were up late drinking, missing is irresponsible but forgivable. The way he handled it was super shitty, laughing through his punishment, not apologizing to Portnoy or his teammate, and just being an overall dick.
Clearly Portnoy was pissed and probably made sure the video was edited to make Kwon look as bad as possible, but he may have lost a viewer in me because he came off as a raging douchebag a-hole.
What was really telling is the guys that know him like Mason Nutt and Bubby didn’t even seem that surprised.
I know Portnoy was overreacting and went over the top with his punishment, but IMO if Kwon comes up hat in hand apologizing profusely, taking ownership, respecting the event, and asking for forgiveness Portnoy lets him play after the first hole.
Instead he acted like he didn’t care and was just a raging dick to his teammate, and like everyone was saying, this isn’t just for fun they’re playing for fricking $333,333 a piece if you win!

Kwon was an a-hole to PFT with his comments. I don't know anything about Kwon but it seems he thinks he is the best player in the tournament.

And once again, there’s nothing wrong with being drunk it’s basically a giant buddy golf trip I’d be drunk too.
It’s shitty to be late to your tee time but even that isn’t an unforgivable offense.
It’s unforgivable to act like you don’t care, be aloof and not take ownership, then be a huge a-hole to your partner the whole time
ETA: also considering this is his job it’s even shittier to act like that and obliterate your relationship with Barstool and look bad to all your viewers

Keon just lost a ton of future support with how he handled the whole thing. Being super cocky during the draft. He also seemed like he might have been drunk or on something or both. Then over sleeping and not caring at all afterwards. What a douche. He could have made in roads with Barstool and Portnoy, but he burned those bridges for sure.

I watched the first two hours of it last night and thought it was pretty entertaining. Not too reality show'ish and a fun watch. I knew who luke kwon was but have never consumed any of his content. He is a massive douchebag. We have all missed a tee time before for whatever reason but people that act like he did are insufferable and shitty people. Unless its all just a bit.

I remember Kwon from when he was with GoodGood for a while.
He seemed pretty cool back then. He did seem like a complete dick in this episode pretty much from beginning to end. I think his team was honestly pissed as they should be. Not sure how you miss a 9:30 tee time when the first tee is 5 minutes away from your bed.

DOD king is hard to watch and a tool
Kwon was douchey like he almost didn't even want to be there.
Sketch and nadeshot or whatever their names are were insufferable and shouldnt have even been there.
Roger Steele can fricking golf, never seen his videos outside of the classics or whatever but wow.
It was entertaining and I really enjoyed it.

Frankly I’d have asked the spectators “anyone have your clubs?” Put them in Kwon’s spot and sent his arse home.
This is partially on Bob too. Captain is responsible for getting the team to the tee also.
This has the potential to be really great. Everyone knew Brad can play, he showed it though we only got clips of his dominance. We knew Finch can play and he killed it, didn’t know Steele could light it up like that though.
What gets overlooked a bit is how good Paige is. Yes she’s got a great rack and don’t think she didn’t know exactly what she was doing when she volunteered to write down the teams when they were figuring the matches out. The cleavage was on full display.
However she kept hitting it in the fairway, on the green and freed her partner up and he didn’t miss the opportunities.

Kwon is an arrogant douche
But Portnoy takes douchiness to an entirely new level.
Driver off the deck guy is a tool as well.
Everyone else seems cool though.
Also, the Bob Does Sports crew is infinitely cooler than the main Barstool golf content guys.

I enjoyed it but there are definitely some personalities in the YouTube golf sphere that I can’t stand. (Riggs,DOD, Micah morris and after this video Luke K) and of course the guys who have no business being there(The Duke, sketch).
Most impressive thing to me was Chaz(the midget) and his swing. Half pint produces a suprising amount of speed and distance for someone with such little leverage and a us kids set of clubs.

Another guy who’s underwhelming is Garrett. Maybe he just had a bad day, and I haven’t watched much of his content, but to me it seems he does a lot of retakes and editing in his vids.

I don't think Garret Clark is super consistent and he looked like he had a bad day.
I was surprised the video actually held my full attention. I usually skim through a lot of the YouTube golf videos, but the format had me paying attention throughout.

Garrett is extremely hot and cold and if he isn’t playing well he pretty much checks out immediately. He has some of the best videos on YouTube and also some of the worst. Honestly I’ve thought a few times that he’s doing drugs, he has major personality shifts in his videos and he is filming something basically every day.
All that being said, he is a very good golfer when he’s focused and on his game.
This is an aside but one thing that drives me nuts with him is he always tries to overawing his irons, for example if he’s 200 yards away he’ll swing out of his shoes with a 7 iron instead of just hitting a stock 6 and often yank it left or banana slice
