if the Question is "What coaches can LSU not convince to come out of retirement..."

Still have to ask. Imagine if a story comes out next summer that he’s interested in coaching again and LSU didn’t even call.

I think it is more likely that they contact him about the AD position.

I still don't believe he would take that position but it is more likely than HC. Even if it is a 1% likelihood to 2%.

I watched Saban on gameday try to climb onto a chair, he literally almost fell trying to get on it.

Saban Is not coaching again.

The fact that he is 74 and loving life with easy payouts from ESPN, AFLAC and others is not enough to convince this board.

he is a touch different than 99% of folks. What motivates him and the rest of us is slightly different. I don’t have an opinion about it. But if administrators are interested I’d give him a call v assume

LSU fans......poster children for immediate gratification.....and when that doesn't come, the meltdowns that ensue are priceless

No where in my post could you have gotten that impression, it is like you just wanted to say those words, no matter the context.

If he comes back it’s not for the money. I work in healthcare, and it’s the same reason some of these doctors work until they die. They love the patients and the surgeries. Part of their ego. These 70 year old docs don’t do it for the money. I could see it being the same way for Saban. Aflac and ESPN isn’t the same feeling as winning a natty for a guy like that.

He probably won’t, but you never know.

Saban was a massive control freak as a coach. I can't imagine him putting up with a situation where the AD is meddling and even the Governor is meddling.

But if he were truly in charge, he would be the perfect person to get this straightened out. Make him AD. On Day 1 he'd tell Landry to frick off back to being a governor and stay the hell out of it. Day 2, he'd tell all the donors to be ready with the money and to do exactly what he tells them to do. At some point after that he'd hire a coach that he knows can handle being a coach at LSU because he knows exactly what that takes. He'd probably only do it a few years but that's all it would take.

Why would he leave the Lake House to come to BR? I sure as shite would not at 74 years old. If he were open to going back to coaching, there are a lot of better locales. BR would be a booby prize at this point in his life.

I assure you that LSU is discussing this with him.
