You know there *was* a lower point in recent LSU athletics history than Sat night

Including current personnel involved.

That point would be the firing of Will Wade.

An AD that would not get fully behind his guys and support them through the hit jobs that were coming is as low as it gets.

True. Firing Wade and hiring McMahon was an epic blunder.

May not be too far away from that again.

Absolutely awful. It’s like the whole Landry administration policy is to just capture as many photo ops as possible, no matter the lack of tact or diplomacy.

Were you guys born in 2020?

Off the top of my head...

- Releasing Tyrann Matthieu
- the Pokey Chatman debacle
- the Smoke Lavall era
- the Curly Hallman era
- the Jamie Howard game
- every time Steve Spurrier dragged his n*ts all over Tiger Stadium while at Florida
- Lester F***ing Earl

Yep. Firing that guy who never coached an NCAA tournament game at LSU was devastating to our athletic program.

Glad I'm not the only one who felt emasculated with that... friggin Landry. Like way too much of a try-hard event that was.

Man I get all these individual data points, but I'm talking about low from a core issue.... who you are and what do you stand for.

Gotta, say, I'm as stoked now as I ever was because cutting ties with Kelly at this time and in this manner gives me hope that we take shite seriously.

So if Woody's nuts have been cut out like some of the smoke seems to be, this is a prescient moment in LSU sports history.

And if the new guy comes in and brings Wade back, well that's how you right a wrong.

Incorrect! The lowest point in LSU athletics history is when the greatest college baseball coach of all time, turned AD, decided Nick Saban wasn’t worth a few million a year, and he (Bertman), because of his own ego, allowed the GOAT to leave us, and we all suffered for it for the next two decades.

Especially considering they could have hired him

Interestingly, that debacle sort of perfectly coincided with my ultimate realization that Kelly was never going to be our answer.
