It was time IMO. Rams have a great defense. We shall see how it goes.

Saints are 14 point underdogs this week

Let's see what kind of line movement there is with this news

Good, let’s see what we have. Tough spot for him this week but I’ll be in attendance so hopefully he plays well.

He is an NFL QB. You don't hide him from good teams. He is either it or not, time to find out.

Seemed like a no brainer.

He as always going to get his look this season but to start Rattler again this week would have shown indecisiveness on the part of the coaching staff.

Just make you decision and go with it. QB's on a yo-yo are never a good idea.

Good. Let’s see what we have. I expect he will struggle mightily versus the Rams.

He will either get better as the season goes on or he won’t.

Let’s see what we need to do in the Draft

I mean calculated changes occur when you put people in the best position to succeed.

They've rebuilt that DL in 2 drafts grabbing highly productive guys like Turner, young, and verse.

That being said frick it. He either is or isn't.

What’s been Rattler’s excuse for shitting the bed against not as good Ds having started 14 games?

He’s going to struggle. The Rams are going to have their way at times with him.

It’s about whether he learns and gets better. It’s time. If he doesn’t then we know what to do.

I figured they would wait until the bye week to do this but thinking about it now, might as well go ahead and get a game under his belt before then instead.

You can be strategic with a 1st start.

This is gonna be a tough spot for him.

i'm just gonna say it now. after his first incompletion, i'm going to declare him not an nfl qb and a bust and not worthy of a 40 pick, complete waste, something about his age and his ability to not get better, frick mickey, gayle has a vagina and makes curtains, and i don't wanna hear about the o line not blocking or the wr's couldn't catch covid in a chinese lab.

I really believe that was the plan but they just couldn't leave Rattler out there the way he was turning over the ball.

Yeah very true.

Just too many turnovers the last few games.

I also believe other teams have more film on him. The last two weeks were Dennis Allen who knew the most not just about him but the rest of the Saints offensive personnel and how to attack.

And then Todd Bowles who has played against him more than any other head coach. 3 games

Meh. He has it or he doesn’t. Rattler went out there and played with a shell of an nfl roster for a month last year and then took the majority of the difficult schedule this year and he’s what a year younger?

Add in the demands for the guaranteed deal and it’s time to play when we ask you to.

If Shough is so soft that he can’t handle an arse whipping by the rams and get his feet wet prior to the bye then improve against the cake 2nd half of the schedule then he’s not the guy to begin with.

Everyone was pointing to the game after the bye as perfect scenario, instead we're gonna put him against one of the best dlines in the league on the road.

I almost think it’s better to get the live fire before the bye then have some tape and things to work on.

There are plenty of QBs that had shite starts and got better. Peyton threw 1.5 billion picks his first year.

He’s most likely going to struggle this game. That’s a damn good team and defense.

I’m not worried about 1 game. I’m worried about what he looks like on the last few. Can he learn and get better and when we get to a softer part of the schedule, play well?

If he can’t then you draft a guy high again. If he does get better maybe you try to build the roster and see where you are next year (and add a vet QB)
