He wants to top Saban at the one place he regrets leaving. He comes here and wins two or more titles over a 15 year period then hangs it up. Kiffin wants that notoriety and hero status that puts him above the mentor he loves to hate.

Not trying to get my hopes up with Kiffin. Makes too much sense.

I keep going back and forth with Kiffin. The idea of him here in Baton Rouge is so intriguing because it could have tremendous upside but it could also go sideways quickly .

I say give him $11 million a year for three years with a $20 million buyout and massive incentives for the SEC title game and playoffs, and see how it goes.

Sorry to say but I don't see Kiffin to LSU. If he leaves ole Miss (which I have my severe doubts he does), Florida is the more likely option. Due to his idol spurrier and his ex wife and father in law being alumni there. I think ole Miss will match money up to about 12 mil a year honestly. So unless it's 15 mil a year it ain't happening

I do completely agree that Florida is more likely.

How exactly would that draw him away from Ole Miss when they would probably have zero issues giving him more per year, for more years, with a bigger buyout, and the same incentives?

If Ole miss wouldn't be in playoffs I think we'd have a chance but I don't see it happening now.

With Florida and LSU jobs opening up so early it gives OM lots of time to put something together to keep him. They will hound him into making public declarations saying he’s staying. Yeah I know how that worked out with Saban at LSU.

I’d love to see Kiffin at LSU but the pressure cooker with be turned up for the next couple of months. He’s going to have to shoot down rumors or they will eat him alive. He doesn’t want that if he feels they have a chance at a title, which right now it looks like they do.

I'm torn on Kiffen. The best play caller in the country, but I keep replaying in my mind him going for it on 4th down on his own 25, up 12 in the 3rd quarter, this past Saturday. OM didn't convert, but His Defense got a stop and bailed him out. If OU scores there and goes on to win that game, Kiffen is getting killed this week by media and his own fans. It was a seriously reckless decision in a huge spot, but it ended up working out and got buried. Like being aggressive, but that was insane.

They put something together 2 weeks ago and it’s crickets from the Kiffin camp. He is very interested and fully plans on listening.

I think part of being a good leader is having faith and trust in your team. He knew his defense would step up if it didn’t work out.

I’m not 100% on Kiffin, but I do think he’s a top three for us.

Someone sounds scared. Kiffin has wanted the LSU job for years. He knows he can win a championship here.

I really think kiffn is coming here and it's been in the works for weeks. You wouldn't just fire a coach and not have a plan already established

Do you really think kiffin would let the media post all that stuff about his daughter and Whitt Weeks if there wasn't something going on in the background about him coming here

I hear ya, but from your own 25? With an OU offense struggling to move the ball? You're up 2 scores on the road and just give them a short field to get back in the game. It worked out, but at the time, it seemed off the rails crazy.

It took cignetti a week to sign a huge extension when PSU opened up. The fact Lane and OM have not signed an extension yet tells me he at least wants to listen to offers.

Do you not know anything about Lane Kiffin? He fans the flames of rumors all the time because he gets a kick out of watching the media go crazy. He's the Donald Trump of college football.

This is why I kinda feel like it’d be a sign of him leaving if he DIDN'T fan the flames. He loves to play stuff up but if we get into the first few days of postseason and he hasn’t done any of his usual trolling stuff, it might be because he’s actually planning to leave
