The shite they are saying is completely fricking arse wrong to me. We don’t need another corporate ceo type.

To me:

1) Saban like work effort
2) truthfully when it matters
3) Flexible- no more stubborn assholes
4) discipline guy-runs tight ship
5) Hungry as a wolf to win
6) Probably younger guy willing to bet on himself
7) Risk Taker- we are not the empire we are the fricking rebels
8) Tough and hard noise mfer
9) Confident but not super cocky (see #3)
10) Has winning history.

This is 100% based upon who has succeeded and who was failed as a Coach at LSU. Nothing else

You pretty much described essentially what women are looking for in a husband.

Maybe my #1 criteria. And it almost implies a young guy. As an old guy myself, we ain't flexible.

thats a pretty ambiguous list there, I just want someone who coaches one side of the ball and is elite at it. I'm tired of these CEO types that don't actually know how football works. If he played at LSU that would also be a major plus as well.

Agree totally. Someone who knows he's exceptional and is viewed that way by coaching peers and head coaches and knows, deep down, that he can handle the role.

You'll get all the money and accolades you can possibly want as a by-product anyway, but first and foremost want the LSU job because you want to win and win big.

As an old guy I agree. When something or someone doesn’t work do something different.

Lanning has personal contract with Phil Knight, creator/owner of Nike so less than zero of that happening. Phil gives him whatever he wants and you are going to outbid him

Give me a coach that can hire excellent coordinators and assistants.

That was BKs downfall.

Saban was the best at building a staff.

I really don't care if the next HC has all of those qualities, or even none of them.

the team the man fields is all I care about. to me, that team is:
1). tough.
2). winning history
3). tough. mean. nasty.
4). no one in the SEC should ever want to play LSU. it should HURT to play our football team.

that's all I want - a coach that can build a team like that.

don't care about titles. don't care about W-L record. I care about pride.

put a team on the field fans can proud of.

Someone who can evaluate and manage a coaching staff. Head coaches are managers.

Alex Golesh meets ALL of your qualifications.
At least give him a look....
He has everything Saban had when LSU hired him.

Dude needs to be driven to bully opponents, someone who believes that the game comes down to our 11 knocking their 11 down, and who makes our players commit to playing -and actually playing - with that mentality.
