I know he has a huge buyout at Indiana but he seems like an awesome hire if anyone can get him. Not much SEC exp. but did coach at Alabama for 3 years as WR/RC. Was a QB in college and his dad is a hall of fame coach. 19-2 record at Indiana is pretty impressive.

Didn’t he just sign a massive extension?

He’s out of reach

He’s an old yankee. We just got rid of one of those.

Impossible? Probably not. But the combination of hoops that would need to be jumped through, financial ramifications etc would lead me to believe we would hire a Jon Sumrall or Alex Golesh before we would hire Cignetti.

While I understand why you named these two coaches is Silverfield even on the radar?

Golesh had been a head coach for a shorter amount of time (albeit by 1 year) than Sumrall and has a less impressive record. (7-6, 7-6 currently 6-2).

I would imagine, I am no insider whatsoever but I would have to think you put feelers out to everybody who runs a really good program and who's players both play for them and are nasty. You can always build off of a scrappy team because there is effort, like the Detroit lions a few years back, gotta have that with our next head coach in my opinion. LSU has got to play like LSU even if we are losing, too many times it felt like you knew when we were going to lose due to the lack of fight.
