Is it time to sit Nuss and move forward with MVB?

Or give Nuss one more shot with new play callers and see what happens in Bama in 2 weeks?

I’m pretty much off the Nuss Bus, but out his loyalty to the program would like to see if some of his bad play had more to do with his disdain for Kelly, or did he just flat out regress?
It was pretty obvious he and Kelly didn’t get along, but I also don’t think Kelly was liked by any players which is why he has a 4 sale sign in his yard now.

My inner voice keeps telling me the only way we beat Bama in 2 weeks is with a guy like MVB though so I’m torn.

Thoughts?

Would be nice to run another qb out there to give Bama a different look.. kind of what aTm did to LSU last year running there 2nd string QB on to the field that LSU never prepared for.. you have 2 weeks to prepare for Bama, I mean what do you have to lose anyway?…

Didn't we grab Daniels out of the portal partly out of concern that the OL would not be able to protect Brennan and we needed someone with mobility?

Our tackles are turnstiles. I don't think Nuss is a bad QB, he is just a sitting duck waiting for things to develop downfield. MVB may be a better fit for this offense simply because he has some escapability to get out of there when the line ultimately breaks down.

The whole plan was to redshirt MVB

Not sure why we would burn that plan in a lost season these last few games

Are you expecting something different than what you've seen from the limper?

They need to see what they have in MVB and Hurley.

Should have happened 2nd half of the Ole Miss game. MVB should have gotten equal if not more reps from then on.

We can still redshirt him. Certainly worth playing him to see what we have. Nothing to lose

Well, for many reasons, 4 of them to be exact.
4 games left to see if MVB is worth being our Number 1 next year rather than worrying about a redshirt and finding out next year he doesn’t have the tools to be a Number 1.
It would give us a better idea of how aggressive we need to be in the TP this offseason for a QB too.
I personally rather use these games to figure out next year, bit at the same time would like to honor loyalty to our program that Nuss has shown.

Interesting spot for us.

These redshirt plans are kinda crazy to me in today’s CFB.

Open position battle during the bye week+. Split time with 1s and announce a starter by next Wednesday. Best player should play regardless of seniority/RS/Transfer/NIL considerations.

eta: Also need to get Berry 15+ touches per game and use him in the passing game.

The plan maybe was to redshirt MVB....but that was the Kelly regimes plan.

Kelly's regime is over.

Nuss thanks you.

He is tired of being pummeled game after game. A&M D line should be charged with inhumane treatment. Our O Line should be charged as an accessary.
Let MVB earn his NIL. Caution: Up your hospitalization insurance.
