Should LSU go with a new organization model in the era of NIL?

Similar to the NFL where the GM handles the finance side and recruiting and coaches concentrate on development and game plans?
Just a thought

Recruits don't commit to General Managers

If they’re doing it for a paycheck, they do.

Right. Most of them commit to the check.

The infrastructure that has been put into place over the past few months appear that this is the likely scenario.

We are.. hence why Austin Thomas will be involved with the search.

Probably time to retire this kind of thinking and start re-defining terms.
“Commitments” and “Letters of Intent” were pretty much meaningless years ago and it has only gotten worse. Recruiting is simply not the same game as it once was. The word doesn’t even mean what it used to. This is a whole new system we’re seeing evolve in real time. It has destroyed all passion I used to have for college sports.

UCLA is trying this out with Rivera. It could possibly be the way of the future but too early to tell.
