They can't directly come out and say it in a press release, but the Gov. was the main agent of change in this.

I know there are a lot of people who don't like him, but maybe recognizee how he just did LSU fans - and the statew - a huge solid by pushing for this behind the scenes and forcing change.

That's a great example of a good law done stupidly and in this case for politics and not for its true purpose.

To OP's point, though, if true, kudos to the gov for doing something right.

He didn’t do shite. He’s a moron. And he definitely didn’t reach out to a tech billionaire for the buyout

He did nothing but attach his name to the process. He’s not smart enough to know how any of that is done.

The governor worrying about the head football coach at LSU is definitely the kind of thing the he should be focused on.

Y’all are ignorant. He was literally at the game in suites, talking with boosters and helping secure financial contributions for the buyout.

Football success does drive the local economy as well as more revenue coming into the SEC (and for LSU) when the team is highly successful.

No. The governor needs to be nowhere near this whole process. It was getting done with or without him. This is about him trying to get his name in the media.

I don't think he cares about the NEW coach. He knew that Kelly was a cancer for LSU and by extension, Louisiana.

He did us right.

All I gotta say is, there’s nothing more Louisiana and southern than our state governor leading the charge to fire the football coach. It just means more.
