29-17

Yr 1: 5th in West
Yr 2: 2nd
Yr 3: T-3rd
Yr 4: T-2nd
Yr 5: T-2nd

Won Outback, Peach, and Gator Bowls. Lost Sugar and Lost Texas

That is not elite. I get the personality, social media, and shenanigans make him a popular name but that is NOT elite

That's a better fricking track record than what we have lately and he did that with a lesser team. Get over it. He's better than fricking Kelly and he's probably better than any coach we can hire right now.

He took over a dumpster fire at Ole Miss.

Exactly. Would be an awful hire. Move on.

Posted this in a other thread but....

He's been a HC for 12 full seasons. He has 10+ wins in 6 of them and is on track to make that 7/13.

He is 50 years old. Young enough to still be in his prime but old enough to have had a lot of experience. In fact you would be hard pressed to find a good candidate with more. He has been HC at Tenn, USC, and Ole Miss. He has been OC at Alabama and rehabbed his career under the tutelage of Saban. So he's been around big time programs and the politics and expectations that come with them.

He is the least riskiest hire we could make.

It’s Ole Miss though. Let him keep instate talent at LSU, and LSU has a top 10 offense every year.

Yeh bc probably making the playoff this year at OM isn’t elite? So your choices would be a guy from a top program that has won conf titles and national titles???

He’s not leaving Ole Miss. He’s in the process of building something special there. Has a real shot at the NC this season, and is already top 10 highest paid coaches in the country.

If he leaves for LSU, he’s an idiot, which would mean our HC is an idiot.

He finished in the top 12 in 3 of the past 5 seasons and will be there again this year.
