BK rejected a settlement around noon today. Things are too far gone and he’ll be out of here before the bye week.

There is one booster who is ready to foot the bill immediately but politics are heavily involved.

Several boosters want frank to be the interim, but others want baker. Problem is they all want to retain baker at the end of the year.

ETA the settlement offer of around 20 million is way off.

Interim shouldn’t matter one bit. Don’t care who gets it.

I’m not so sure I’m fully on board with Baker sticking around anymore. He’s the highest paid DC in CFB, and every time an athletic QB faces up against him, he folds like a cheap suit. There are 7-8 examples of this the last year and a half.

I disagree. You need someone to minimize transfer damage at the end of the season. Can't let the locker room because a cesspool of negativity.

As long as there is no official announcement from LSU, they are still negotiating with Kelly.

Because the full amount forces him to look for a job and take a job. A settlement would allow him to retire if he wants, or take another job and get paid both ways(possibly coming out ahead). If he could go make $5+ million a year doing something, he comes out ahead with the settlement.

It is not a lump sum payout. The payout schedule can be restructured for less (overall) sooner (lump sum) than all of it spread over time.

So he rejected the 40% lump sum?

And who cares which one is interim.

The new coach needs to pick him own staff

We're not the same sort of people as these people.

To some of these folks the # would be maybe in the low tens of thousands of dollars relative to normal people.
