Real changes would need to be deeper than this. Need to get rid of the receiver coach, defensive coordinator, special teams coach, and strength and conditioning. This is if you’re actually serious about winning a championship.

Whole offensive staff is gone per a few inside sources
With NIL now we don’t need Frank who has not managed the RBs well at all

What I don’t get is how can you let a coach pick a new staff that isn’t serious about winning. Look at the last hires he has made. Even at Norte Dame he has picked crap coordinators. ND Ad and brass picked the best coordinators he had their

He doesn’t know how to stop a running qb. College football as a whole is moving towards mobile qbs. His players play undisciplined individual football. They aren’t playing as a collective unit out there. Linebackers look terrible. Hard to defend him at this point.

I'm pissed and want Kelly gone now, but you saying "he only picked the bad ones" is so fricking bull shite. The man picked 3 straight DCs who are now all top 12 in the rankings at different schools. All three of his former DCs could be in the playoffs at HC this year.
I'm not quitting on Baker and his group. Ohio St had the same problem. Before Knowles they were 44th and then 38th in scoring defense. His first year they improved to 24th, but fans and others had problems. The next year he went to 2nd, and their championship year, he had the #1 defense. LSU can get like that if next year if they improve the LB play. Cooley, Woodland, Pickett, and Spears return in the secondary. At the DL, everybody but Gooden and Guiilory return at DT. We also bring in 2 elite DTs. As for DE, we get big Gabe Reliford back and we bring in 2 5 star DEs (and one can play both DT and DE). All we need is one portal DE.

There aren't going to be any new coaches. People will be elevated from the existing staff.

Defense is far from fine. They occasionally flash a great play but they were getting gashed early and often in all three losses. Now, I’m not on the fire Baker bandwagon, but overall, the defense has been anything but fine.
