Was it drinking was he an alcoholic or was it steroid or other supplement abuse?

Surprised at his age and the money available to him he couldn't get a transplant they only refuse to give a transplant in certain situations

From his Wikipedia page:

quote:

On October 14, 2025, Mangold appealed publicly on social media for a kidney donation, revealing that he has had chronic kidney disease since 2006. Mangold died from kidney disease complications on October 25, 2025.

Usually not in kidneys, he likely had other complications than just isolated kidney disease

Saw him on The Yak last week. He did not look or sound on death's doorstep at all. Sad.

Dialysis does not always work though, unfortunately. It seems his situation may have been more severe than simply going on dialysis.
