I live in PHX - he won’t leave. ASU is his dream school, his Alma mater, and he thinks he can turn ASU into a powerhouse with the talent around here.

Young should not be the main qualification. Young often means inexperienced.

I'm sure he's loved it his whole life but ASU is no one's dream school.

There's not enough talent around there to turn ASU into a powerhouse.

in fairness their two league losses have either been without their starting QB, their best WR (who might be Biletnikoff level when healthy), or both. ASU doesn't have depth to survive that

I think Dillingham is a hell of a coach but I think ASU is his place

You like them young and hot, eh?

You know who has the best resumes?

Those with experience. Lots and lots of experience. At 73 years old, he may not be young and hot like you seem to like, but Nick Saban, for example, has a GREAT resume.

Maybe not but old should be the main dealbreaker.

I mean it’s his Alma mater.

He is also making 7.5 million a year and he has an easier path to the playoffs.

LSU definitely needs to go with something new, not a retread, but go out and find the next great head coach. Could be a great young coordinator or someone doing well at a lesser known program. Need a competent search that digs a little deeper. So someone other than Woodward making the hire

Maybe not for football.

But I’ve always heard that there is a tremendous amount of high quality poon on that campus. And being out there in the middle of the desert, they all frick, because there’s little else to do.
