Baker and his scheme isn't the problem on defense

It's perkins. I know we all wanted him to be the next superstar defender, but he is out of position. he has the athletic potential to be an nfl defender, but his instincts aren't those of a defensive player.

get him off the field, stop using him to spy, contain etc.

perkins should have stayed on offense after HS. could have been our power back right about now.

Bakers scheme is 100% part of the problem. Not gonna defend perkins, because he has been awful in it, but the scheme doesnt work against competent offenses

He quit after Ole Miss. it’s not scheme, it’s effort. He DGAF. And his buds quit with him. Locker room divided….

Wouldn’t hurt to have him back but the overall scheme and the other 10 players on the defense aren’t playing well as a unit.

You are going to be disappointed when he returns and the same shite happens. Whit wasn't much better last year and watch before he left the OM game this year. He did the same things.

This is a scheme issue. You have enough games as a sample size now to see it. Not to mention these QBs seem to put up their best rushing numbers against Baker.

Just stop. He's a fricking fraud like the HC, OC, and pussy arse QB

hes being given the most vital role vs these mobile qbs and its just not something he is naturally good at.

he is out of position, he is on the wrong side of the ball.

No.

Go watch what fricking Mizzou did yesterday to the midget at Vandy.

THAT is a scheme that has actual SPY LBers. Even the announcers last night called out the fact that we didn't run a spy several times, even third and long at the goal line where everyone knew it was a QB draw. No spy to be found.

Mizzou lined up in a 3-3-5 all game. They had TWO Spy LBs almost every play, one for each edge, while the DL played pretty much a stationary/bull rush attempt.

It reminded me a lot of the Chief's scheme against Manzeil.

Baker is clearly not smart enough to do something like this. Never has been.

I don't have to literally be in the team meetings to observe what is happening on the field

Nuss may be many things, but a “pussy arse QB” isn’t one of them. The man has been getting wrecked week in and week out with no protection and he keeps getting up and playing.

He stayed when most QB’s would have transferred out at least a season ago.

He has been an absolute committed warrior for the Tigers and doesn’t have to answer to the likes of you, whose biggest in game injury for LSU most likely has been stubbing your toe on route between your recliner and your fridge during a commercial break.

Then why are our guys out of position so much if it’s not a scheme issue? Dude it 100% is a scheme issue but Perkins does suck also

I truly believe that if our defense knew they had something worth fighting for they’d be a lot better than they appear. But the fact that our offense puts them in shitty positions week in, week out and at this point, they have to be pretty deflated knowing they have to carry this team
