Notre Dame fans warned us

They all laughed about LSU “snagging” Kelly away from the Irish saying that if we didn’t notice is right away that we should check back in within a few years about how bad the Kelly experiment is going.
Check YouTube video comments from the press conference videos from when Kelly told ND players he was leaving. You’ll see lots of “good riddance, he’s LSU’s problem now”, “good luck LSU” and similar sentiments.
They were spot on. Kelly should never have been given the keys to the program with how much he underperformed with ND’s resources.

We need to convince florida to snag him away from us.
We can pitch the line about he’s an all time great winning coach. Just look at his record and what he did at Cincinnati and notre dame and all. Man wow they’d be getting a real winner from us. Just imagine what he could do with that Florida talent and finally having some real athletes to work with.

This is as far back as texts I have saved, but I've been adding extra L's to his name for a very long time.

You are saying they warned us when he wasn’t on the hot seat at ND. You are terrible at reading ppl. Their fans and the media were butthurt that their winningest coach up and left while in the playoff hunt. ND thinks they are the premier program/job in the country and we’re melting that he left him. LSU fans were like WTF when we hired him bc he wasn’t even in consideration for the job.

Stop second guessing based on ND fans / media reaction.
They just didn't understand why any coach would leave Notre Dame to go to lowly LSU.

We absolutely were ready for him to be gone prior to 2019. Sure there were fans that were happy we were no longer in the Davie-Willingham-Weis years, but it was clear early he wasn't the answer. He dumbed down the schedule, still lost to Tulsa at home, never had teams ready for big games, and got blown out every time the spotlight was out. He also killed a kid and is the only ND coach to vacate wins, so there's that.

They were pissed. They didn’t understand it. Them shitting on Kelly was not the first reaction. Once it was done, then and only then did they start shitting on the guy. He had taken them to a championship game and he left while they were in the playoff hunt.
