This team is 2-0 with a competent head coach. The players are there and the rookies look great. Knowing Willie Green and his penchant for playing veterans, there is no way Fears and Queen are playing the minutes they are without Dumars mandating it. That makes me think he’s really in charge and maybe he will fire Willie if this continues. Hopefully the season isn’t over by that point. Starting 0-2 sucks, but I am encouraged by what I’ve seen and I do see a good future possible.

They will figure it out. Trey needs to establish himself in the closing minutes. It's big boy time for him. Gotta be more assertive.

I mean we lost 2 games by 1 possession. And obviously we need to take charge and close these games out and not be fighting from behind every time. But Morant 100% skipped on same foot when we were down 2 with 30 seconds left - no travel call. Then tonight, Poole cleanly hits ball out of Barnes hands and out on his knee - foul call on Poole. Yes, we should have our challenge but come on the refs have to get that shite right.

I’m also encouraged. If we see a healthy Murray with this group at the end of the season it could be a respectable team.

We’ve looked better than I expected. Fire Willie Green, hire Taylor Jenkins and we could maybe make the playoffs

Problem is we may not win a game for weeks. Celtics, Denver, OKC….
We can’t continue this trend of digging ourselves into a hole beginning every season. Just once I’d like the boys to start out 3-0 rather than the alternative.

We were up 12 in the 1st game and up 8 with 10 minutes or so left today. I’d say we need to learn to stay ahead. Gave up a 19-0 run Wednesday and a 12-0 run today.

We could sneak out 1 or 2 of those. We just played the Spurs without a C and we probably should have won. No moral victories but we’re playing a lineup with 2 rookies getting heavy minutes and we are competitive. This team just has to finish games and stop giving them away.

True, I was mostly referring to the last few minutes of each game but yes you’re right. When we get a lead, we have to keep it. Seems like Willie can get good results out of a lineup but not the next when those guys have to get a breather. Getting Dejounte and all the centers healthy will be a huge. I think this team is much better than a 30 win team.

I'm really encouraged by how our 2 rookies played so far, looking at how other rookies have also performed so far this is looking like a very strong rookie class

Queen played better than I expected. He fights hard on the boards. He does think every foul call needs to be reviewed though

More than anything else I was surprised to see how well Queen played alongside Zion. I think that was one of the biggest concern when we drafted him.

Queen made 2 great reads at the top of the 3 point line that was next level one Trey got foul and the other Herb missed the layup and his ability to get a defensive rebound and push the ball really caused the Spurs to be out of balance.

You are looking at it wrong. We lost 2 or the probably 30 games that Zion is healthy for. The Hawks are gonna love our top 3 pick

idk if that’s gonna happen but, peope are going to be pissed when they see how fricking elite these top 3 players are in this draft. Not just all star caliber but superstar/mvp caliber. All 3 of them.

Celtics is not a good team. They lost most of their starters from last year. Only white and brown is left. We should be able to beat them.

This is a bit of hyperbole. Last few MVPs that stick out were not even top 3 picks. Jokic, Giannis, and SGA.
