Junior year at 5' 9" I could occasional touch the rim on a running jump. My buddy at 5'10" could 2 hand dunk.

stupid story - we were playing ball, and a little dog came up to us all. My dipshit friends started petting it, it rolled over and wanted it's belly rubbed and one of them smashed the little doggy in the nuts with a stick. They all laughed.
That's the day I discovered my friends were all future mass murdering psychopathic Satan worshipers.
I was pissed, seriously, yes I was pissed. Poor little dog was probably 25 pounds.

Not until my junior year. I could always get up there, just couldn't dunk. One of my neighbors was shorter than I was and he could fly. He told me which muscles to work out and then I had no issue.
