- ND wasn't holding BK back; BK was holding ND back.
- Freeman's first 4 years of recruiting are half a star better than BK's last four yrs of recruiting there.
- Maybe BK isn't a national championship type coach.
- He quotes one LSU fan as summarizing the problem as: "We went out and got Brian Kelly and we're getting Brian Kelly."

When WE talk bad about CBK, that’s one thing.

When national press, analysts on TV, major networks, sports writers start sounding like WE do?

Thats a problem tbe University, the boosters, the “Program” can’t ignore.

CBK needs to stop all this shite with a solid performance to end the season. Lose to A&M and this will all take on a life of its own - nationally.

I don't know enough about him to dislike him, but his comparison to ND w/ Freeman is pretty objective. No?

Bingo! There is no better way to describe this experience other than the exact thing we would make fun of Notre Dame for and exactly what ND fans warned us of. The only difference is ND would play cupcakes and get embarrassed in the post season. We get embarrassed each and every time we start to gain some momentum.

I've been critical of Brian Kelly but some of this is rubbish.

[ND wasn't holding BK back; BK was holding ND back.] The numbers say otherwise

[Freeman's first 4 years of recruiting are half a star better than BK's last four yrs of recruiting there.]

Wasnt Notre Dame a top 5 team when he left them. Of course you're going to get better recruits when you're a better team and I think academic standards were lowered after he left. ALSO with NIL it's different.

-[Maybe BK isn't a national championship type coach.]

Maybe but no coaches seem like they are until they win one.

[He quotes one LSU fan as summarizing the problem as: "We went out and got Brian Kelly and we're getting Brian Kelly."]

I don't even know what that means.

Correct. LSU is disappointing this year and we can criticize the on field product. But I’m seeing a lot of rewriting history just to smear him. It’s not necessary. BK was a highly regarded coach who did great at ND and got them to two playoffs and a BCS title game. Before he got there, ND had been irrelevant for 20 years.

Oh, and he beat LSU twice in bowls.

Brian Kelly just doesn't have the alpha factor. Saban, Meyer, even Ryan Day have the alpha factor. Brian Kelly just seems like he got picked on in his teens because he's just kind of a soft guy. Even when he slammed the water bottle down, it was totally non-threatening. It seemed artificially manufactured. Like "I know you LSU fans are pissed, so now I'm about to pretend like I'm pissed too in order to appease you." "We're all mad, right? I'm showing enough manufactured anger to appease you right?"

0 moxy to him. That's the core at why I think he can't win big games. He has 0 moxy.

This is such a stupid talking point. It's already been proven by ND fans, alumni and boosters that ND didn't want to put up the money needed to compete with the top programs of the country. It was part of the reason BK left after feeling he reached his ceiling there. When he left, that's when ND started putting up more money because they felt as though they had been played and made to look the fool and that's one thing that those smug frickers hate. Remember the national media melt that ensued because how could anyone leave the big bad mighty ND and go to little ole country bumpkin LSU.

That's not something I'm making up or speculating on, it's been said publicly by many. On top of that, with the expanded playoffs, ND not being in a conference and the media sucking off ND every chance it gets, ND should be in the playoffs every year. You're seeing it again this year. ND loses to the only teams worth a damn on their schedule at the beginning of the year and now they're creeping their way back up to the top of the rankings by beating a bunch of cupcakes. The media should go ahead and make them a top 5ish team because that's where it's heading.

Also, let me remind you at this point in the season, ND and LSU both have 2 losses with LSU's schedule being much more difficult - so yea, they're CLEARLY in a much better spot with Freeman.

There are plenty of things to hate on BK for, but some of the things y'all all of a sudden want to believe are true are rather ridiculous - all because y'all hate BK.

Man, y'all have really jumped the shark with the BK hate and slander.

I see the logic here, but it doesn’t really hold up. The media is an echo chamber of wish fulfillment, meaning they just want views and clicks and they see a fan base here that’s looking to have their thoughts and feelings validated. Thats easy pickins’.

Not that’s it’s untrue, but it would be silly for anyone to base money decisions on what the national media pundits are saying, and this is coming from someone that’d like to see Kelly fired tomorrow.

I don't hate CBK but I don't like the product he has put on the field this year AT ALL. He has had plenty of time, money and freedom--yet we have every chance to go on a 4 game losing streak. The OL is horrible and that is on CBK--he has had plenty of time and $ to have a serviceable line. He was not prepared to bench Nuss even when it was obvious his velocity on throws was hampered. He just does not have the IT factor it takes. He has been out coached in every game but Clemson, lucky for us Florida QB had a
break down.

If he thought this OL could play in the SEC then his talent evaluation is so far off there is no fixing that.

LSU is NOT winning a 'ship with CBK---his teams just don't come to battle, he has made the TIGERS SOFT.

Joel Klatt has been one of Kelly's most vocal supporters while at LSU. Why the sudden switch up?

I'd say those are much more reasonable things to be frustrated at Kelly with than about 95% of what Klatt says.

Forget past history. Our program is on a down slide with no upside in view. (Possibly for a few years). Miles and coach O had their weaknesses but I don’t recall them chastising the players and fan base.
