Do you think he is a shoe in for Rookie of the Year or is the fact that he is on a team with some pieces that he won't be counted on to carry the team like other 1st round picks that usually are joining a dumpster fire

If Kyrie can come back healthy and AD actually can make it through a season without getting hurt I can see the Mavs contending.

his overall game will get him major minutes
his impact at Duke as a true fr shows he gets it and knows how important the team concept is

There's nothing that Cooper Flagg can't do well. He will be a stat machine.

He may not put up gaudy numbers because he’s playing with good vets, but he’ll learn to impact winning more than he already naturally does.

He may still win it simply because the next best rookie is not immediately jumping out at me? Who am I missing?

Like most rookies he’ll start off well but once teams play and get film they’ll find any weakness and exploit. Don’t get me wrong I think he’ll be a great player but it usually takes more than rookie season to blossom. He should win rookie of the year but there will be others contending too

Not even close to a “shoe in” Sixers has the better player.

In 4th quarter and he’s 30/6/3 already

We might want him to score a fricking point before we crown him?

Nothing like an overreaction after one game into the nba season lol

Overreaction? You are absolutely correct. Flagg may end up being the GOAT…

But I’m going with Sixers dude with a bigger upside that put up 30 along side Maxey vs skinny white dude playing out of position that struggle to get 10 playing with AD.

Might have been the worst ever debut for a #1 draft pick

He has a long way to go

Probably too early to call him a bust

Dude's first play as an NBA player was a lob from AD that he caught and then missed the dunk.

Historic.

He's 18 years old and should be a Freshman at Duke. He will have growing pains for sure. Not sure how good he'll be

he's always felt like a better shooting Ben Simmons to me. Ironically, they both averaged the exact amount of ppg in college.
