A few months ago I was scrolling Facebook. One thing I’ve always hated about Facebook is “reels”. I just do t like watching videos. Not on tic toc.

But I came across a guy opening a pack of baseball cards. I clicked on it. Instantly I’m a kid again. I watch at least one day now.

Seeing all these baseball and football cards from the “junk wax era” (1986-1993) I’m curious as to what your favorite design/backgrounds were??? I’ll give you my top 3:

1) 1987 Topps
2) 1989 Topps
3) 1988 Donruss

I realize many people are going to say Upper Deck. I like Upper Deck too-they just came out during the later period of my interest in cards (early teen-got more interested in girls) and I don’t feel they are as nostalgic.

Ehhh, I guess I'm going to have to go with 1986 Topps. They had some good ones in that set. Ain't worth shite though, unless you have PSA 10s. That Mcgwire All-star Rookie in the 1988 set is kick-arse too, if you have a 10.

If the 88 Donruss were the red ones with the cursive writing, then those.

1989 Upper Deck

I also liked 89 Bowman bc I stayed at my grandma's house that summer and she'd give me a couple dollars to go to the store across the street and buy a few packs. Good memories.

Still remember the night my dad came home from work and told me to go find all of my Billy Ripken cards. Good times.

I bought so many packs as a kid trying to pull a Ken Griffey Jr RC... never did. Bought an unopened box about 10 years ago and finally got one.

That set also has the Ben McDonald RC

I had some Topps worth decent money. I found a bunch of Jerry Rice rookie cards in one box.
