We have Tolliver, Randle, Molten is believed to emerge, and Shepherd could possibly be a wideout for the first part of his career. And, that doesn't include the remainder of the 4* receivers that could possibly emerge.

Hopefully Miles, Porter, et. al. can work their recruiting magic.

Not tryn to bash you man(because this seems to be a wide spread belief)...but why is everyone so convinced he will be a WR? I know you want him on the field but he said it himself on NSD, we are very talented at the position. There might be another way to utilize him. After the UA game rantards said they didnt beleive in his passing skill and that he would be a great WR for us. RS has said Les will give him a shot at QB. I guess we will see.

Shep has a legitimate shot at playing QB. He can be used in cetain option packages early on. He has the legs to buy wr's time to get open, or to gain big yards on his own.
Dual threat QB's make the game interesting to watch and slows down a good opposing D-Line.
I cant wait to see Shep play. He is going to make Saturdays very memeroble for years to come. IMO.

LSU is the prohibitive favorite... especially considering after missing out on Rantavious Wooten, Andre Debose, and Kenny Bell leaves a huge void at slot receiver. Only Chris Tolliver resembles that kind of receiver of the young WRs... unless of course you see Shepard at receiver (which I don't).

I respect that man, but notice how i said could possibly be a WR. I never said it was a done deal. I just figure that Jordan Jefferson will get the majority of the snaps (60-70%), which creates a lot of time with RS on the sidelines, and he's too good to keep on the sideline! SO, where would he play in-turn, WR, but I'm not saying he will remain their for his entire career.

I've said this before if we can get Reed (which I think we can)Put Jefferson at QB, Randle and Reed at WR's and Sheppard in the slot all can throw the football wouldn't that be fun to see how they defend this. Just dreaming about the future. Our spread would so wide open.

Call me crazy, but I see Shep coming in both in special QB packages as well as on the field along side Jefferson.

Playing the two at the same time gives the opportunity for many "trick" plays as well as option scenarios.

But, to answer your question, we clearly undersigned this year at WR and could play to our advantage when looking at the depth chart during the span that Reed would be expected to play.

I expect Calhoun to fill into the slot nicely.

Debose maybe fast but I think reed is a better receiver seen the AAA camp videos he run routes pretty da*n good.

Also, we've been hearing for a couple of years that RJ Jackson looked great in practice. Now would seem the likely time for him to step into the fold as well.

Are you kidding? We NEED WR's in next year's class, being as we basically signed just one this year. The depth chart should mean nothing to Reed as we will be losing Lafell, Mitchell (obviously), and Toliver will be a senior. He'll be set up perfectly to step up in his 2nd year or so.
