Very creepy movie especially for it being made in 1974. Funny seeing the old rotary phones being used. I can see where Scream was paying homage to that movie. Creepy part is not really seeing the killer except for shadows and body parts and most was left for the imagination.

Forgot how beautiful Oliva Hussey at the time. Was a decent cast for that type of movie especially with the future Lois Lane.

Halloween got a lot of its ideas from this. No mask, but the stalking aspect. Halloween just made it mainstream.

In, just because its an all time favorite

Did you happen to notice that the director was Bob Clark? Who also did Porky's and A Christmas Story.

There has been few homelier women passed off as leading women than Margot Kidder.

To this day, the scene where Billy's eye can be seen looking through the door jamb and the noises he makes on the phone still gives me the creeps. The two remakes, especially the most recent girl boss one, were both terrible.

Black Christmas

It's my favorite slasher and in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

If you're feeling adventurous, check out Black Christmas (2006) as well. People absolutely hated it when it first came out, but it has developed a (small) cult following since, similar to House of Wax (2005) (although the latter is a much better movie than BC 2006).

I like the 2006 remake. The 2019 version sucks.

House of Wax (2005) is not too bad either.

This just came on after I watched Halloween: Season of the Witch. I'll keep it on.

Literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Everyone associated with it should be thrown in jail for disrespecting the "Black Christmas" name.

An absolute classic. I also really enjoyed Silent Night, Deadly Night!

Somehow my mother let me watch that movie when I was 8. Scared me to death at that age.

Garbage Day is part 2 though...which basically was just a rehash of Silent Night Deadly Night 1.

Black Christmas is awesome. I may have to rewatch the 2006 remake; I only saw it the once years ago and didn’t really care for it from what I remember.

This type of movie really isn't my genre of choice.

But I may have to make an exception for this one.

Didn't realize that. Looked him up and he directed Porky's 1 and 2. Talk about several movies that are so different from each other.
