Watch each lineman on bama on this play. This is how you score inside the 5.

This was a good play but Bama's offensive line has been a liability this year.

They've also struggled to run the ball.

Our line waits to be attacked instead of attacking the defender

You really going to argue it’s anywhere near our o line’s struggles?

Bamas scheme and playcalling is better but the commentators during the AL/TN game the other night were commenting on how poor Bama has been running the ball this season.

Yea? What’s their record and where are they ranked? How about LSU’s record and ranking?

Count the amount of times multiple of our offensive linemen are sitting on their fat asses during a play. It’s nauseating.

You nailed it. They are reactive instead of being proactive. They play on their heels waiting for the defender to initiate. They are in defense mode instead of being the aggressors. It's piss poor fundementals to employ & causes piss poor technique in the process.

Ours back up all on their own before even being touched by a defender.

Noooooo,

The difference is the backside OL actually crossing the face of their defenders making them go to the right.

At some point you have to plant your feet & form a base. He's backing peddling way too much & the defensive end uses Chester's own momentum to sit him on his arse.

Sidenote though, if Nuss sees & understands the coverage presnap, he gets the ball out fast to Trey'Dez crossing immediately underneath for a big gain.

Difference in OL play between LSU/Bama

Stop putting Alabama on a pedestal. The Alabama offensive line has given up more sacks than LSU and is averaging an embarrassing 3.68 yards per rush.

The difference between the LSU offense and Alabama is play calling and QB play.

eta: Alabama and LSU also both only have 7 Red Zone Rushing TDs on the season. The main difference in the RZ? LSU only has 7 RZ Passing TDs compared to 17 RZ Passing TDs for Bama. Once again, play calling and QB play.

That has nothing to do with o line comparison. Give them Sloan, Nuss, and our receivers and they'd be struggling just as bad as us.
