My APC backup's battert died at 3am waking everyone up with the alarm so I went to Amazon this morning and ordered a replacement.

Since then, Amazon continues to hit my credit card with authorizations for $83. So far they have almost $2000 in authorizations and it keeps climbing.

I assume it has to do with the AWS problems today and to top it off their customer service is down also. Only the chat bot that is useless.

Also, in my order history the order shows as delivered.

We're sorry, Customer Service chat and phone lines are not currently available at the moment. If you need help now, you can try the Customer Service homepage. Otherwise, please try again later.

If possible, I would hold off on any orders until they straighten everything out. I'm not worried because it is an AMEX and I could chargeback with a quickness if Amazon doesn't fix it but it's just a hassle.

Reason one I use Chime and never keep more than 200 on my CC or DC. Hacking is a hobby now.

So if I return an item, they'll keep refunding me on accident?

Visa’s Zero Liability Policy covers most credit and debit cards. The policy does not apply to certain commercial card and anonymous prepaid card transactions or transactions not processed by Visa.

Your bank might suck, but the one group of ~150 worth of fraudulent charges I've had in a decade was credited to my account by USAA as soon as I called it in. They conducted the investigation after they credited me.

One could also wonder why you seem to have such an inordinate amount of fraud associated with your financial transactions.

Chime uses Bancorp and Stride bank, and also can issue you a card. So it's totally, totally, different than a "regular" debit card.

I like the way you think. I'm going to look around the house for things to return.

My 20 and 24" chainsaw bars have been delivered 4 times today. Incredible service by Amazon Hysterically enough, today is the first time a driver read my delivery notes and actually followed them.

They are probably authorizations only and won’t actually clear. Still a huge PITA if it’s on a debit or a card with a low limit.

In any case, after the second or third time it happened you should have locked your card just to be safe.

I think they will fall off also. Unfortunately I was busy and had my phone on silent when all of the notifications rolled in.

Do you think Chime issues some new kind of card?
