They’ve been all over my yard in Folsom too.

I wonder why those things can't survive in the woods of East Texas?

Friday, I had to come to a full stop in Austwell Texas to allow a wild turkey flock cross the highway in front of me. About 25 birds

I see them everywhere close to where we are south of Nashville in the burbs. You know, except when I try to hunt them.

I saw a Jake last week in Eastern Panola, Co. I have not seen a turkey in 12 or 13 years in Panola Co until last week. There used to be huntable numbers in that area. Big timber companies quit burning and too much undergrowth under pine tree canopy. Too easy for nest raiders to get eggs and small poults.

I travel to South Carolina on occasion. Those woods are as thick as ours and they are loaded up with Turkey.
