More good reps from Riley and our young secondary.
Stutsman looked pretty solid and get more reps.
Breese continues to be a terror,
Rattler bounced back after playing horrible and put together some good drives.
Olave remembered he’s good.
Chase Young is the most disruptive non sack getter ever,

2 good drives, 1 to end the half and 1to start the half, isn't a good takeaway.

He was trying to do too much. That last interception was knowing he had to throw it and there was nothing open. Literally nothing open. Thats due to play calling. We always have a man open 3 to 5 yards for a check down and that time NOTHING.

The good:
1. The team continues to play "inspired" despite being down. That means coaching is getting through to them regardless. The team didn't 'quit'.
2. The tackles are both seemingly never pinpointed
3. The back 7 have moments where they look solid in coverage, for the most part kept the passing game in check
The bad:
1. Both guard positions are problems. Pass protection. Run blocking. problem.
2. We need a big bodied receiver that can get into traffic and hold onto the ball
3. We cannot generate a consistent pass rush worth a damn and its extending drives

Front 7 needs some work lol
I hope at some point Davis and Warner can sit and we can throw the rest of the lber room in to get some reps.

THE GOOD
Quincy Riley is getting good experience right now, making some plays and getting beat on some but overall looking like he belongs and has potential to be a legit NFL starter, and same goes for Jonas Sanker
Danny Stutsman and Isaiah Stallbird have both been getting more snaps in place of Werner the last 2 weeks, I believe I even saw a play with both of them on field in place of Davis/Werner. They'll take some lumps for sure, but again nothing yet suggesting a waste of a pick or a significant drop off from Werner.
Chase Young is giving effort and causing issues for the opposing offenses. People hate on him for not having a sack a game for us but he's consistently getting pressure and impacting plays
Bryan Bresee is indeed still getting pash rush, and to the eye seems to have gotten better against the run this season though he does still get flushed out at times.
Chris Olave is a good WR2, he's good route runner and gets open and will make some plays. He's just not a WR1.
O-line seemed to hold up in pass rush decent, and first half seemed to have some success run-blocking until obvious run downs and Bears loaded the box
THE BAD
Playcalling in the first half. Game was close even when as 2 score game down only 13 and defense had done a good job of getting an INT and holding Chicago to a FG after Rattler's fumble at the 25. Yet Moore refused to commit to running the ball, he kept calling pass plays when Rattler was clearly off his game! I know he ended up getting on track right before half, but we needed to slow that game down earlier and give the defense a chance to breathe
Rattler had a horrible game. 1 fumble lost, 3 INTs and a couple more that should have been picked. This was the first game that he was the main reason we lost and on the surface that doesn't sound bad but in the other losses he still shared fault. Just too many inaccurate throws and bad decisions yesterday. It's time for Shough

Rattler in the good takeways? That fricker literally threw the ball to a Bears defender 6 frickING times.

Yep. He also threw TDs that were dropped this year. We gonna pretend those didn't happen?
Saints aren't winning this year. It was a given before the season started. The pieces to win aren't in the building right now.

Rattler seems to play well when the Saints are 2 scores or more down. If the Saints get within 10-12 points, he can’t make the play, the read, the decision to continue the drive. I don’t have any numbers to back this up, just my opinion.

He's focused on 1 WR because he has no trust in the OLINE. He has no reason to trust them because anyone pass blocking is letting free defenders through. It's hard to scan the field if you are constantly worrying about the pressure. There's times he's not seeing the open guy when he has time though. That's a problem.

He focused on 1 WR because he is a 1 read QB. Stop defending a shitty player

The entire team is shitty. I'm not defending his poor play yesterday. I'm defending a 5th rd pick surrounded by dogshit. This is the best we have at the moment. Until we get better all around we will continue to lose.

He is not the best we have at this moment. Him and Shough were neck and neck all preseason. I agree our entire team is shitty, and that includes Rattler. Its time to see if we have anything in Shough. Wins and losses don't mean shite the season.

Good:
One game closer to the end of the season
One game closer to the end of the season

Apparently he is the best option because Shough wasn't named the starter.

Oh they fricking do. All I see is 1-12 so don't bring that shite here.
Answer this. If Shough goes 1-6 after the bye what do you do next year?

Your draft a QB. Rattler has shown exactly what he is, which is not a guy you pass up a QB with your top 3 pick because you have him on your team. We don't know that about Shough. He probably is the same, but we don't know.
This team will not win but 1-2 more games, maybe. Everything about the rest of this season should be about positioning yourself for next season, and that literally 100% is determined by Shough.

Your draft a QB.
I hope Kellen Moore isn't stupid enough to draft a QB. Draft nothing but playmakers and BPA. we can get a veteran QB somewhere.

First time watching the NFL bud? If you have a top 5 pick and you don't have a franchise QB on your roster, you take one.

Not if the shite coming out of college is average at best. There's no Maholmes in this draft and if a college QB is go on a tear beating the likes of Alabama A&M, University of Central Arkansas, or Hofstra university, count me out.
We need playmakers. Draft a DE with the first pick. After that it's WR /TE, LB, CB, S, OL. We can get a QB later. Too many instances of teams giving up on their QB and getting rid of them.

Jacksonville and Detroit took elite DE prospects despite needing qb play.
You don't settle for mediocre qb talent to pass up on elite talent elsewhere. It's not worth it.
