Well it is mostly a dictatorship as is Russia. But in China there is a Central Committee who could eject Xi if they had to. Or maybe not. Maybe Xi is the Supreme Leader. It helps to have a uniform society. In the US, entropy is spinning our diverse populace apart.

Are you a proponent of a western socialist country? That is we pay a buttload of taxes and everybody receives a reasonable amount of care and has a social safety net?

China does build the best roads....in Africa. I'll give them that. But there is very little communism left in China. The party bosses maintain that the country is still communist because it doesn't have a true free market, which is true...but there is plenty of privatization in China. They couldn't have grown their economy without it.
