2025 started to look like another weird CFB season.

Last year was wild and entertaining. It looks like we have some more shenanigans on deck for ‘25. Texas and Penn State have faded fast. The Franklin firing is worthy of a 30-for-30. Heisman front runners look like shite.

Florida State houses Bama in week 1, and is staring down an 0-4 ACC start.

Georgia Tech and Virginia are partying like it’s 1990.

Your likely top 3 after this week is Ohio State…then Indiana and Texas A&M?!

Vandy continuing the momentum of last year and has a legit Heisman contender.

Tortillas. Fake pocket knives. UVA field storming. I’m loving it aside from LSU sucking.

Everyone who said the 12 team playoffs would make the regular season meaningless have to be close to regretting it 1.5 years in. Teams 1-20 essentially are playing meaningful games every week.

Tighten up the transfer rules a little, and this era can be fun.

I do wish conference realignment would be fixed, it’s killing traditional games that made CFB great.

Florida State partied their arse off after beating Bama. So much so that they forgot they had an entire season to play after that game

Depends on the team.

I think in the B1G it has diminished the regular season. Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon already seem like playoff locks. Going to 12 definitely diminished the significance of Michigan’s upset of Ohio State last year.

In the SEC, games are really competitive especially when the higher ranked team is on the road.

Big XII and ACC look like 1 or 2 bid leagues, so they are pretty similar to the 4 team era.

All 4 of the Preseason Heisman favorites have looked awful.

With NIL and transfer portal (everyone always a free agent) the one guarantee will be inconsistency. This is the result & lower quality of play all across the board. Real well oiled teams will be few and far between.

Enjoy the chaos.

Comparing those teams now you wonder how the hell FSU won, and in resounding fashion. Bama would blow them off the field right now.

Like Ive said it makes mid games more meaningful but big games meaningless. Not a good trade off imo, we already have every other sport for those who prefer that model
