Emailed the Governor’s office on Monday (yesterday) re: crime issues at LSU for home games and received response this morning.

Impressive. They’ve obviously heard from alot of citizens and the quick response is a first for me…not the usual cut and paste I receive from Sen. Kennedy/Cassidy’s lackeys.

Well, LSU is on the verge of losing its home football game day. Half the people outside of Tiger Stadium and on the campus have no connection to lsu and no reason to be there other than to cause trouble.

I am being told that LSU is turning into a shithole bc we don’t use standardized testing to get in bc it’s racist. Is this true?

It’s optional. But you still have to have a certain gpa and have taken certain classes in high school. But taking the act or sat enhance your chances of getting accepted.

I just read an article that the Biden admin commended LSU for allowing students in that wouldn’t have gotten in based on standardized testing.

I'm not a fan of Landry at all, but this is one case in which his ego and grandstanding can be useful, and I think will be and it's needed.

It's been a minute since I mailed or e-mailed a politician, but in my experience, I always got a response quickly. Now whether it was them or a staffer - I have no idea.

Post what you emailed and what they responded with.

Did you or anyone say anything about the amount of weed that was being smoked on campus? It was unbearable

Also you’re worrying about standardized testing for regular students, why not have that same standard for athletes? If you don’t want some of them there, you shouldn’t want any of them there! But don’t act like lsu is some Harvard. Every student is there bc they earned their right to be there!

If you think some act by government will "fix" the mess in places like BR, you are delusional. Government has enabled all of what you see there. It is intentional.

Well? What'd the email say?

More security on campus is just putting a band-aid on the problem. It's like fighting crime by getting a better security system at your house.

Until they actually solve the crime problem in Baton Rouge, and especially around campus, these things will just get worse.

Adding more cops is a patch.

My letter to Mr. Landry went like this:

Mr. Landry,

Can you please put more black fathers back into their homes so I can enjoy my game day experience at LSU?

Please and thank you,

Ah, was hoping for a bit more than just copy/paste from a press release.

Good for them to respond quickly. Personally still salty about the lack of information and transparency with the LOSFA/START "cyber incident".

They still haven't said anything regarding when service will be fully restored there. Accounts still reflect balances as of 9/26.

Props to acknowledging the issue quickly by Landry and I’m not a fan of his.

But with that said, he needs to come out with an iron fist during TAM.

They need to make a damn example of this shite and let the word spread to the ghetto parts of BTR that that shite wont fly again and go back to SU games and frick shite up over there.

You sure about that? Looks like plenty of kids are getting in without an ACT score
