Working out in the marsh?

Don’t let Coach O take your nephew to his secret fishing hole. He might not make it home.

AI answers that pretty quickly. 50 something K to begin and nearly 80 K at the top grade. Not a whole lot really.

They belong to the state government retirement plan.

As govt employees I'm sure they get a nice fat pension.

Looks like after you get in and get 6-7 years in you would make mid 60's to 70's.

With a good retirement

Not bad

I have a friend that went the Renewable Resources major route at LSU and got a job in north LA. He constantly posts pictures of himself in his bass boat on FB saying “I love my job.” It’s not all about the money. Choose a career that you enjoy, and it’s not a job.

If you stay an agent your whole career. Hopefully, you'd move up to a supervisor job.

Pay for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) varies by position, with entry-level wildlife agents starting at approximately $53,865 per year and receiving potential increases for seniority and performance. Other positions like Biologist III have an estimated salary range of $50,000 to $73,000, while top-level roles... can earn over $300,000 annually.

Remind him its a Federal LEO position, and that retirement makes it all worth it..

Its mentioned here every now and then, but the amount of power an LDWF agent holds is crazy
