we’ve been twice and it’s shockingly good. Asian fusion with local ingredients. The guys who run it also own the depot in independence. No liquor license yet but red white and brew is across the street.

if in the area it’s a solid choice, everything we’ve had has been delicious and satisfying

I’ve had it it’s excellent.
the pecan ribs app is great also. Haven’t tried the ramen or the bao yet. We did a tasting menu thing last night and the chef there can really cook. Flavors are bold and the ingredients are quality and I can’t believe I’m saying that about a restaurant in Hammond

Really hope they do well

Menu looks really great and interesting. If I were in the area I’d have to go a couple times to try what I want to try.

ETA: which is most things on there

They were a staple at the Hammond farmers market in Saturdays. Wife loves everything she’s had from them.

that spot used to be the pharmacy though so may there’s no curse on it yet LOL.

For some reason restaurants don't last in that corner spot across from the brew and the spot benteaux is in. But tacos and beer, Our mom's have been successful right next door.

Luma is in the old pharmacy and has been pretty successful too.

Why? I've been in a few times over the last couple months for lunch and there are always multiple tables and a bunch of to go orders. I think they offer a solid burger. They've come a long way from back in 2011 when they were a bar that happened to offer food.

The menu for Benteaux looks awesome, will be hitting it up this week when I am in town.

The $1 tacos on Tuesdays got me through SLU.

Every time I have been in there it has been PACKED. I'm talking no where to sit and lines to order. Imagine as the semester goes on it will get even busier. Got the carrot cake latte and it was the best latte I've ever had. Their coffee in general is just great.

La Caretta makes me sad. I’m embarrassed for Mexican restaurants in Louisiana. Zero flavor. Zero effort. For a state of fantastic food lovers yall really really really have no idea about Mexican food.
