Seems like Nussmeier’s injury is starting to impact him less. Not underthrowing balls like he had done all season. We actually ran the ball decently. The line still sucks but that’s probably going to be the case all season. I do think this is a performance they can build off of though.

Even the line opened up some holes in the run and gave up 0 sacks vs a good South Carolina team . Their far from perfect but they weren’t abysmal last night at least

We need to finish drives but overall that was a better offense. Controlled the clock, moved the ball, setup scoring opps.

I haven’t rewatched the game, but the right tackle seems to be the only guy who is flat out getting beat a lot. I saw some very good pulling blocks and straight up handling defensive linemen. I think the line is coming around. If we could go back in time and get one good tackle from the portal…

Agreed. Offense should have put up 34. If the score was 34-10 everyone would be feeling better this morning.

Did they get better? I think they did. The run game did. Nuss had the picks but it's because he was letting it fly he has the arm in the pocket and on the scramble but he's not the most accurate. Tre Dez is a problem mismatch and will challenge any db. We need to get better in the red zone though.

That was the bigest issue, but most everything else looked improved IMO.

Turnovers inside the five are incidents, not deficiencies. Nuss still threw some off targets, but he also had a couple of drops including an on target long ball to Hilton. The opening drive was abysmal, but the O line managed to open up some holes and occasionally get some push as the game progressed.

I'm not saying our offense was good, but it's hard not to acknowledge that it was improved. Hopefully, they continue to progress from here.

Well let’s not leave Bauer Sharp out of the discussion after he got pancaked in our backfield on a goal line situation. My OU buddy had told me good luck with him - can’t block or catch.
