Tiger Woods has undergone surgery after suffering another major injury.

Woods, 49, announced Saturday that he recently underwent lumbar disk replacement surgery for a collapsed disc and a compromised spinal canal

"After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with doctors and surgeons to have tests taken. The scans determined that I had a collapsed disc in L4/5, disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal," Woods said in a statement.

He needs to just retire

Be a dad and support Charlie

He has nothing to prove .

He is in this constant cycle of surgery, rehab, light playing, get everyone excited about his return, injure something, surgery. Repeat

No reason to believe he is not doing this.

With that said, he is going to have a rough 60's and 70's with all of these surgeries.

One time I saw a guy posting that Tiger needed to quit, that it was obvious he was in a dark place and that he needed help, was in a dangerous spiral out there missing cuts, etc.

Couple years later Tiger won the Masters again in 2019.

Tom Watson nearly winning the British Open at 59 probably also keeps the dream alive. Ben Hogan winning again after his freak car accident.

Degenerative disc disease is a mother. I have it and had to lay off on squats and leg presses as it was aggravating my l4/5 bulge. I already have l5/s1 fused.

I can’t imagine what’s it’s like for a professional athlete. Tiger will end up with his entire lumbar spine fused if he’s not careful. I’ve lost count on how many fusions and disectomy’s the guy has had

Certainly affects his motion ability when corn-holing IHOP waitresses…
