Apparent suicide by hanging, but damn it brings up memories of his dad being found dead in Brazil with that bullshite suicide story.

Gatti Jr. was also training to become a professional fighter like Arturo Sr. Supposedly he was really damn good.

Gatti Sr. and Mickey Ward's trilogy (especially the first and third) is the best boxing I've seen in my lifetime.

I actually didn’t realize that the original Arturo Gatti died. I’m 16 years late, but damn that sucks.

Gatti Sr.'s death reminds me of D'Angelo Barksdale's death in The Wire. A murder that was, either due to indifference or corruption, labeled a suicide via hanging.

Arturo’s widow is a Mexican national and why they were living in Mexico. She was also originally implicated and arrested in Brazil for his murder, but after a whole bunch of frickery and it being Brazil, a coroner signed off on suicide as the cause of death after months

Still remember channel surfing with my old man and coming across HBO right as the fight was about to start and deciding we were gonna watch. Shortly there after, we were like what did we just watch? Incredible!

Her evil caught up to her....

It was pretty obvious she had something to do with his death and sadly now her son has taken his own life.

No winners here. Just misery and saddness

Many in the boxing circles I follow on Twatter are saying that Gatti Sr was a Mexican mob/cartel hit and that the son dying in the same exact way was a message to someone.
