Tried a new product out, HUNT repellent. Company is based out of Lake Charles. Advantages of this over OFF include not greasy, doesn't make me sweat, deet free, gun, metal, and plastic safe, and scentless. They offer both a lotion and a spray bottle. Give it a try for those spending time outside whether working, hunting, football games, etc.

I also have some of this. Seems to work pretty well with no scent.

What’s the active ingredient? I think picaridin is the only real alternative DEET, but it’s hard to find for some reason.

I have some and it works great! Didn't get bit once during teal season and didn't feel greasy leaving the blind.

Met those guys too. Good group! They're working hard to get it out there.

I can't read it on their website but its on the bottle:

HUNT

Should work then, might have to try and find some.

I figured it was gonna be lemongrass or some shite, which I think is just a marinade for mosquitoes.

They sponsored some kind of teal festival opening day. They had complimentary bird cleaning and free food. I heard they cleaned over 1,000 birds.

Where did you get it? Anywhere local or online?

I was there. It was a damn good time. Reminded me of the good ol days.

HUNT store locator

online or in various stores around the state. Stine's and Academy carry it now I believe.

Bumping for feedback, I ordered two spray bottles from the Hunt site
last Thursday afternoon. Buy two bottles get free one or two business day shipping. Good deal. Literally two minutes later I get a shipping notice email. Got the product early Saturday afternoon before we left for the woods. Sprayed ourselves, there is a slight scent to it upon initial spraying. Read the material it came with saying that's an alcohol smell that will quickly evaporate. Didn't notice the smell outside of right next to the truck. My son ran his thermocell because he didn't want to be the guinea pig. Results that night to be expected. Last night I was by myself. Sprayed down at the truck and went to the stand. Brought my thermocell as backup but didn't turn it on, at all. Sat in the Lafourche parish swamp until dark, got bit by two mosquitos. Over all impressed with the actual product. More expensive than regular spray, but supporting a local company. Got a legit handwritten note with my full name on it appreciating my purchase along with asking for feedback. Very happy, will repurchase when we run out.

I also bought some after seeing this thread. I used it on an evening hunt in sherburne, and didn’t get bit by any mosquitos. It worked great. My only complaint is that it’s loud when you spray it. Sounds almost like a deer blowing. I was glad I sprayed it at the truck instead of packing it in the woods to spray before dark.

Got some at Bowie's in BR yesterday, they have the spray and smaller lotion. I figured lotion good for deer pack and quick application - not gonna be spraying myself in the ladder stand. Haven't used it yet but the scentless claim hooked me
