The Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office has described Groves as a “cold-blooded killer” with a history of violent crime.
Federal investigators previously said they believe Groves received help from outside accomplices, including a former jail employee and girlfriend, Darriana Burton, who has since been arrested and charged with aiding the escape.

This time around, many of the social media posts about Groves have come from supporters, some of whom seem to reference his grandmother’s death at the hands of a police officer as a reason to extend him sympathy.

It's amazing how many X users are fully supporting him on the run.
