Three friends will be in BR for a long weekend next month. Would like to get 3 rounds in if possible. We are willing to drive up to an hour from BR. What are your recommendations?

Not sure I'd recommend Carter Plantation. It's nice for sure but not really worth the price and trip to get there. I also found Pelican Pointe too expensive for the condition it was in (multiple holes under renovation), but that was in the spring.
For my money, Beaver Creek is probably my favorite at the moment. Probably helps I just got my best score there last week

Beaver Creek is the best value in BR area. Fairways usually better than anywhere else public in BR. Greens come and go. They were solid last time i played a few weeks ago.

I played copper mill a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. The course was in great shape. Whatever you do, stay away from LSU. I played there saturday, and it was awful. The tee boxes weren't cut down, the fairways felt like hitting from the rough, and the greens had ant mounds all over them. It's embarrassing the way they let that course go. Charging $35 for that is a shame.

In that order. Really depends on how good y’all are though.
