How long should trades take to process?

I submitted a trade offer on Thursday and it was accepted yesterday but it doesn't go through until this coming Tuesday. The trade is Jefferson for Hampton. Part of the reason I made the trade is because I'm 0-4 and need wins immediately and Jeffersons upcoming schedule was Browns, bye, Eagles. However, the processing time means I still have Jefferson for this week (which turned out to work in my favor but isn't what I wanted) and now Hampton is injured. It feels like a trade should process before a new game is played as now there's new information (Hampton being injured).

The rules set in preseason are the rules so im not complaining about it. But I'm commissioner of another league and would like to make sure that these things don't happen over there

We always push fair trades through immediately or shortly after to avoid stuff like this.

This is how we do it as well.

No more than 2 days or immediately depending on commissioner/league rules

I set mine for next day, but push it through if I see it or the owners let me know.

I let it linger about a day unless a game is early on. I want to let people see it first. However we basically push everything unless outright collusion

We use the CBS weekly future value chart and every trade has to be within a certain window that shrinks as the season progresses (to avoid blatant tanking/quid pro quo amongst buddies) because of this the trades are pushed through same day.

Thank god because I offloaded CeeDee Lamb the Friday before his injury

Did you ask for the trade to get pushed through?

I made a trade last week on a Thursday and just asked the commissioner to push it through and he did.

Unless you have some sort of voting on trades for veto reasons or whatever (which I don’t like anyway), I don’t see a reason why a trade shouldn’t be pushed through immediately once it was agreed upon.

What is your threshold currently, just out of curiosity

Yea there's a period to vote to veto. Which brings up another question, now that Hampton is going on IR is it unethical of me to vote to veto and lobby for all my league mates to do the same

IMO, your vote shouldn’t count on a trade that you agreed to. Now, I wouldn’t fault you for trying to lobby for votes, but I don’t like the system to begin with because of things like this.
