State police have provided all the details of the accident. I stand officially corrected.
Video added for incase there is any confusion.

Do you not think that the whole situation fricked him mentally?
Constant death threats on all platforms, people blaming him for the death of a veteran everywhere. He wasnt invited to the NFL combine, and probably wouldnt of been drafted as the case wouldve been ongoing during the draft. He wouldve missed out on millions of dollars and probably struggled heavily with mental health issues due to it. All because he was in the area of a wreck that killed a man.
We've seen this before, he doesnt get another chance at that rookie contract. Lael Collins missed out on a frick ton of money because of the active investigation during his draft.
They painted him as a killer and didnt even wanna hear his side of the story.

There is alot that goes on outside of what the "rant" says. Lacy was responsible for himself not anyone else.
And....while correct, it is an extremely short-sighted viewpoint

Some people need to go to jail. There is video and black box evidence that he was framed with a police report completely contrary to the verbal report the driver in the yellow car gave and that the lady in car number two swerved across the center line and hit that other car head on.

The lesson here is don't judge based on early information, do not take this as a reason to trust defense attorneys.

Lawyers believe in their clients all the time. Doesn’t mean the person going through it did.
Why are you still trying to put this on him? Most people thought he was responsible for getting a guy killed and that probably ate away at him.
They shouldn’t have put him through all this.

Exactly. Lacy was getting so much hate. I remember someone close to him trying to defend him on this site and they got lit up.
Look what happened to La’el Collins draft stock. And it wasn’t even proven he had anything to do with it and he went undrafted. (I think) I am too tired to look it up. Fortunately he was talented enough he still got a decent contract I think.

It’s possible he still had doubts as to how things would go. And it’s possible the amount of hate he was receiving was overwhelming and contributed to pushing him to taking his own life.
I’m not sure why people still don’t care to consider what he was dealing with and how it might have impacted him. It’s like people who already judged him the first time around are feeling the need to somehow keep it all on him. He’s likely in the NFL right now if this wasn’t botched so bad.
Lacy was getting an insane amount of hate. Especially around here. It’s like people who were wrong to judge him the first time around are still needing some kind of validation to avoid feeling bad about possibly being wrong.

I’m just scratching my head on why they wanted to pin the wreck on Lacy in the first place. Maybe I’m completely naive to what the motivation would be to do that.

In the end he would be exonerated. Being alive to make your life what you want it to be after a crisis like this should have been the focus, not what happened. No excuses.
Yes i agree about heads needing to roll however where is Lacy now to move forward with this. Lacy should have had his head down with confidence in himself and with his attorney's help that he would be fine and the NFL was totally attainable. Yeah yeah Collins blah blah, how about Tyran, the gave him a chance and he left with millions. God tested Lacy. We all knew the outcome.

quote:i didnt sensationalise anything. I said Lacy needed to be accountable for himself and he wasnt especially since he knew a million percent he had nothing to do with it. Video evidence doesnt lie. Thats what you do, is "defend yourself". Facts. End of story.

Why are you still trying to put this on him?
He knew he was innocent
His attorney knew the truth would set him free
He still chose to get into trouble and shoot a gun
He still chose to go on a high speed chase running from the cops
He...
That is nobody's fault but his. Its hard to understand.
I can see if he was guilty of killing someone and he spiraled out of control. He was fricking 10000000% innocent bro and still went full retard. Ray Lewis was accused of murder, stayed out of trouble, got exonoreted and played in the NFL. Lacy had a choice. He made the wrong one. What when you get faced with adversity, it okay to rebel and fall like he did? Its okay to blame anyone else? Im not being self righteous here bro, the dude was innocent and went crazy anyway. Thats on him, nobody else.
I'll agree they shouldn't have put him thru this. Heads do need to roll for it. This different from what Lacy did to spiral down.

I could maybe agreed whole heartedly: if he "was guilty" but he wasnt. frick the haters should have been his focus. "Im going to the NFL" should have been his focus.
We run away from positivity and embrace the negative when your innocent? Na, ill never buy his actions as justified.

Lacy could have hit the brakes and stopped or slowed significantly and then drove through the wreck which would delay his appearance on the camera.
We don’t know what happened.

On a side note, ive seen drivers pass around an accident like this all the time.
I've seen horrific much worse accidents and people live, from my profession and dude this accident wasnt bad compared to what ive seen. Head scratcher for sure.
All of this i assume is a real authentic video and not altered.

Collins lost alot more money, he was going to be a first or second rounder.
Lacy was maybe a third or fourth rounder. But another team may have drafted him a bit later. The Georgia DT was involved in a similar situation and still went in the first round.
No one was touching Collins due to that being an actual murder.
