I think the leadership would like someone like Newsome, Beshear or Shapiro

But their base won’t go for it.

It'll be Shapiro. And the Democrat Party doesn't care what the base wants. That's why they didn't even have a primary when Biden dropped out.

Newsome may seem “popular” for now but the country isn’t going to elect a Californian liberal as president. Especially when he’s done an awful job. It doesn’t matter who runs, their party has problems, major problems, at its root.

Exactly. They don’t remember the arm twisting and shenanigans it took for Bernie to get pushed aside for Biden.

Wes Moore, going for Obama 2.0.

Shapiro would be the smartest choice so no way the Democrats would allow it, plus being Jewish would not satisfy the left wing.

I think Shapiro is the most sane, which means there is likely no chance he gets the nod.

He may have a decent chance at winning the nomination, but that’s about it.

Andy Beshear, Kentucky's Governor,

Southern democrat winner that goes red. If his name can get bigger he should be the nominee.

This is my thought. Would help them win Pennsylvania.

Seems like they’ve been grooming Newsome for a while now.

I'm hoping every prominent Dem today is in prison by then. What they have wrought on America is truly criminal.

I could see someone like Mark Cuban landing the nomination and there is a bunch of speculation he’s going to make a play for it
