That's right next door to the "water reclamation" plant aka sewage. Wonder if any turds went flying into the air

FYI, the surfers refer to that part of the beach as "shite pipe" because of the plant

Damn son. As you can see by my td name, I used to live there for a brief period anf owned some residential and commercial property there.

I used to know some baws that worked there at that old refinery. It was named "El Segundo" (the second) because it was the second refinery on the coast in California.

Yes, it's California, but there are some good dudes in El Segundo and it's pretty dang white and conservative for being LA County.

All of the South Bay is because they are rich white people but when I lived in Hermosa Beach, I did see several white liberal women leading anti 2A marches along the Strand while people were just trying to relax or play some volleyball.

That water reclamation thing, Hyperion, has a shite pipe that goes into the ocean right south of Dockweiler Beach, a crappie state beach.

I used to ride my bike down the Marbin Braude Trail to Manhattan or Hermosa.

Yea I know, and I referenced the surfers calling it shite pipe.

You can pull up the daily surf reports and it literally says "shite pipe"

Yeah man. I was in good shape then and I'd run from my house in El Srfundo, down Grand Street hill, all the way down the Marvin Braude to the MB pier and back every day.

Biking the strand in Hermosa was fun. Those damn volleyball women pros and even casuals were something to behold.

Chevron now has another reason to leave CA. Take int insurance monies, close the refinery, and go build another refinery along the GULF COAST.

I wonder how cleanup from the last explosion and fire that saw people's houses and property covered oil for miles is going?

Well, there goes the yearly bonus! Glad no one was hurt. That's the most important thing. It's contained to one section.

Worked there in the fall of 09. There’s a LSU bar close by. Mr. Pockets if I remember correctly. Honestly it’s not a bad refinery at all and a good place to work.
