Fire off the Ball and control the Line of Scrimmage!

Variable snap count, 3 point stance, initiate contact, 100% Physical effort until the whistle blows, running backs hitting a hole with purpose and legs churning. That was a staple of football when I played, but I haven't seen LSU do that in Years... Time to get back to the basics of a offensive line.
Nut up or shut up
Kelly needs to separate the men from the boys.
Bring back the Big Cat Drill!!!!!!

You live or die by the Line. You must control it.

At the snap our offensive line stands up and they are beat right there. Running back is too late getting to the line. Our weak blockers are not going to push defense back 1foot. They are already in our backfield. Horrible coaching

yeah it's perplexing...it appears our OL is just catching the DL...don't really see any push and the best sign of accomplishment each play is if our OL is just able to have a stalemate at the line...woof

You can’t tell me the individual players are incapable of being at least average at run blocking, individually.
It’s 100% coaching and at this point, I don’t understand what Brad Davis is doing. Stop the RPO bullshite, call an actual run play, and let the O-Line fire off the ball not having to worry about being downfield if the QB chooses to pass.

O-line Fundamentals are too initiate contact, stay low and drive the defense back. Quickness and footwork should be drilled and drilled until its muscle memory... You should never step backwards on a run play.

Yes, it Horrible coaching. The block scheme is criminal...

BRILLIANT! I will immediately call BK and tell him about your amazingly new idea! FIRE OFF THE BALL, running game issues solved!

So, you want us to be Army or Navy?
No thanks.
No thanks.

Maybe ask him why his Team still can't run the ball and what he plans to do to fix it?
Also why he thinks his run blocking scheme still Isn't working.
Look up the definition of insanity.

If your QB, that would be Nuss, is fundamentally flawed and Nuss IS fundamentally flawed your whole offense will have look flawed. The ugly truth is the QB position is our main problem. Glad I never got on the Nuss Buss. Hope he magically improves or MVB is the answer.

This offensive line doesn't know how to block RPOs, and we just keep running the fricking things almost every play. It's almost as if they're scared to get an ineligible player downfield for penalties because of the pass potential, which makes it impossible to run block effectively. It seems like they've been coached to hold their ground and avoid that, but most teams running RPO block it like a run play, and there has always been some leeway given to the offense on that. It's what makes it so hard to defend. Those plays have to develop quick, and LSU is doing the opposite of that. O-line should be driving upfield regardless and the pass has to be thrown before they get too far.
They really should just do away with the RPO altogether and run a more traditional run and pass game with play action. It give the o-line less to think about.

Agreed. We know these kids are athletic and talented but this needs to be scaled down until they get more reps together as a unit. They look lost a LOT.

Being able to rush the ball, alleviates the need for Nuss to be perfect. It also allows the offense to sustain drives and help Nuss Concentrate on making good throws when needed too. It also keeps the defense from dropping 8 players in coverage, and keeps them guessing.

That's exactly my point. Let the big bruisers be aggressive. They need to simplify the blocking scheme. Sloan unfortunately doesn't understand how to do that. Kelly on the other hand should!

Tend to agree. Highly touted kids on the OL just look lost.
