Based on the book by Brian McGreevy and executive produced by acclaimed horror master Eli Roth ("Hostel"), this Netflix original series revolves around the peculiar residents -- and killer creatures -- of Hemlock Grove, a dilapidated former steel town in Pennsylvania. The town is composed of people living in poverty and those who are extremely wealthy -- and everyone has a secret. As sinister mysteries unfold, a seamier side of the town is exposed, placing suspicion on many and revealing that nothing is what it seems.
I won't post a link because of spoilers, but it's a great watch especially this time of year.

I believe this was one of the first Netflix original series. Was also the first time I found out who Bill Skarsgard was.

Pretty good series, for what it was. Famke Janssen and Bill Skarsgard lead a pretty good cast.

I haven’t read the books, but it’s a pretty cool take on traditional monsters. The werewolf transformation is very well done.

Yeah, the gypsy take on the whole magic and monster thing was really interesting . It doesn’t get used enough or at least not very well.

Doing a re-watch now and I forgot how well this was done.

The series did a lot really well. It's not perfect, but compared to much of what we're still seeing put out there, it's worth checking out.

It’s not on Netflix anymore, or anything else that I could find. Only the first season was available to purchase.

Dang, I guess that's a good thing. There has to be a way to view or buy the whole series.
I recently discovered that The Expanse was available on Blue Ray. For years, I was foolishly expecting it to show up on Amazon for sale, but nope. Finally dawned on me that it's for sale outside of Amazon.
Hemlock Grove has been done for 10 years.. seems like it should be available for physical or digital sale, somewhere.

I remember starting it, thinking it was pretty entertaining, and just never getting around to finishing it.

Yeah, I caught this when it first came out and haven't watched again. Actually wouldn't mind seeing it again, bummer to hear its not on streaming.
