Didn’t realize a new Langdon book came out in September. I think I read Lost Symbol in one sitting.

I remember so many people talking shite on The Da Vinci Code when it came out saying it was terrible. And here I was like...

I read the illustrated version and couldn't put it down. I guess I have terrible tastes

I finished it this morning. I thought it was good. Basically the same formula he always uses, it it kept me interested. I feel it was better than his last 2.

A solid addition to the series, imo. Had been some time it felt like since one had released.

Robert Langdon is one of my fav literary characters.

I enjoyed it. And now I've added Prague to my list of places to visit.

I will read that one soon.
I enjoyed a great few days in Prague this past April.

Yes! It took me twice as long to finish because I had to stop reading to google all the locations and artwork he described.

I enjoyed it, but I figured out one of the big twists pretty early on which made it kind of meh to me. Like many of you, I also want to visit Prague now

I loved Davinci Code and I liked angels and demons even more.

Halfway through. Pretty good if you like his format.

I've read some pretty bad stuff lately so it's like seeing an old friend after a long absence.

I do this with a lot of books, but especially Dan Brown. Constantly switching to Google Images and Maps to actually ‘stroll’ the streets, bridges he’s writing about.

Thought it was good. Probably middle of the pack of all his work. I also figured out the big twist pretty early on which made the big reveal less satisfying. Its a quick read.

I enjoy Dan Brown’s books. Don’t do what I did though and read them on a tablet…

I found myself looking up every place and thing he mentions and these books took me weeks to finish because of all the damn rabbit holes

Can’t join books clubs because I’ll never finish in time.

Secret of Secrets probably ranks 3rd in the Robert Langdon book series for me behind DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. I actually liked his non Robert Langdon books (Digital Fortress and Deception Point) better than most of his Langdon books.

I'll also add that after reading other authors, Brown's ridiculous 3 page chapters are infuriating when jumping back into his writing. I'm pretty sure you get past chapter 40 before you even hit page 100. It's just infuriating to read a book like that, imo.
